“The saddest aspect of life right now is that science gathers knowledge faster than society gathers wisdom.” Isaac Asimov
Facts are not wisdom. Wisdom is the framework of meaning we give the facts. A mind full of facts can help you play a mean game of trivial pursuit, however it takes love and wisdom to turn facts into the kind of insight that can create a to-morrow we’d want to live in.
Spontaneity, intimacy, and awareness typify the spiritually developed.
Elihu says, “It is the spirit in a man, the breath of God, that gives him understanding.”Here we have the key! Where does our highest thinking come from? Not from our ego or our head, shaped by our brain’s left hemisphere and contaminated by our concluded opinions and prejudices? It comes from our spirit, from our core. Our spirit is attuned to universal truth and wisdom.
Let’s do it NOW. Come on church! Take man’s structure away and start building our Gods frame here and now. It calls for a strength, sacrifice, love, understanding, unity of the church as one mind; this can only come from God. I pray that this happens, and if it doesn’t be it God’s will not ours.
How true! and how often we mistook facts for the truth or wisdom. It’s a sad thing when a church or people of the Way exchange a lie (facts) for the Truth (Jesus: I am the Truth…)!!
Thanks for demystifying us on such important matters, Mal !!!
