WEIGH IT UP

“Think not, thou canst sigh a sigh,
And thy Maker is not by.
Think not, thou canst weep a tear
And thy Maker is not near.”
On Another’s Sorrow – William Blake

“The people who walked in darkness, have seen a great light. They lived in a land of shadows, but now light is shining on them… You have given them great joy Lord… a Child is born to us!” Isa. 9:2 & 3 & 6

We may have a great life yet anxieties and needs created by past deficits and bruises regularly lie close to the surface. As I look at old photos I recognize that my emotional world often niggled underneath what looked like wonderful moments. Why wasn’t I one hundred per cent present? So often there was a shadow that clouded my view of what were real and present delights.

I am now so thankful for the toughest phases of my life. Eventually they propelled me into the arms of the One who set me free from shadows; comforted by his presence and his love I’ve learned to live one day at a time, trusting the outcomes to him. In my Creator my heart has found its true home!
